Dr. Gambarin-Gelwan is an Assistant Professor at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Gambarin-Gelwan received her B.A. with honors from New York University in 1993 and her M.D. degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1998. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and went on to do a Fellowship in gastroenterology and nutrition at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She was a Chief Fellow in advanced hepatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center before joining the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2005.
Among her recent awards are an AASLD Advanced Hepatology Fellowship Award (2004) and Outstanding Ambulatory Care Resident in Internal Medicine (2001).
